Everything seemed peaceful.
Until two tiny rabbits appeared beside the roadside.
They weren’t alone.

The brown rabbit had become caught in loose garden mesh beside the fence.
She wasn’t injured.

It pulled safely onto the roadside several yards away.
The driver’s door opened.

She immediately noticed the two baby rabbits beside the fence.
Then she saw their mother.
Rachel closed the vehicle door quietly.
She didn’t rush toward them.
Instead, she remained several feet away and watched.
It quickly became clear what had happened.
The mother was tangled.
And her babies weren’t going anywhere without her.
Rachel Approached Carefully
Rachel returned to her SUV and collected a soft green towel.
She also brought a small pair of orange-handled safety cutters.
Then she slowly approached the fence.
