This week marks the third time in recent weeks that Donald Trump has been accused of appearing to fall asleep during official meetings. During Tuesday’s lengthy Cabinet session, the 79-year-old president was seen with his eyes drooping as members spoke, quickly prompting online ridicule and the nickname “Commander in Sleep.” The meeting lasted more than two hours and covered topics ranging from drug trafficking to immigration and foreign policy.
Early in the session, Trump strongly defended his health, criticizing the media for what he called unfair scrutiny. He insisted he remains energetic, sharp, and actively engaged, dismissing speculation about his well-being. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt pushed back on claims that Trump had nodded off, stating that he was “listening attentively and running the entire Cabinet meeting.”
