Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, previously known as Prince Andrew, has been stripped of all his royal titles. Also, he has been evicted from the Royal Lodge, and rumors stated that he could have been set to receive a hefty amount for the early eviction. Now, it appears to have been decided.
Days before sex trafficking victim Virginia Giuffre, who took her life in April, released her explosive memoir, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor decided to give up his royal titles.
Andrew’s connections to the late convicted sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein have been in the open for years, and in Giuffre’s memoir, she revealed new details about her sexual meetings with Andrew when she was not yet 18.
In a statement through the royal website, Andrew said, “In discussion with The King, and my immediate and wider family, we have concluded the continued accusations about me distract from the work of His Majesty and the Royal Family. I have decided, as I always have, to put my duty to my family and country first. I stand by my decision five years ago to stand back from public life.”
