Former WWE star, politician, and actor Jesse Ventura recently made a particularly explosive claim during an appearance on Piers Morgan Uncensored. Ventura, who hosts his own show on conspiracy theories, openly asked: “Where’s his scar today?”
Ventura left Piers Morgan stunned when he referred to Trump’s near-death experience of the president as a “blade job.”
In professional wrestling, a blade job is when a performer intentionally makes themselves bleed to make it look like they’ve suffered a serious injury, heightening the drama of the scene. While intended for entertainment in WWE, Ventura implied the term could also apply to the shooting at the rally in Butler.
During the interview on Piers Morgan Uncensored, Morgan remarked on Trump’s apparent defiance after the attack.
Ventura scoffed: “Oh yeah right, right, right, you ever heard of a blade job?” When asked if he thought the assassination attempt was “fake,” Ventura added: “I don’t know, where’s his scar today?”
Morgan reminded him that a former volunteer fire chief near Trump at the rally had died as a result of the shooting.
Ventura shrugged it off, saying, “I don’t know, come on Piers, you’re going to tell me this guy’s a big hero now?” When Morgan pressed further, Ventura replied sharply: “Then he accomplished what he wanted out of you guys.”
Asked what he would say to Trump if given the chance, Ventura said he would “prefer not” to speak to the president, claiming:
“He has no courage. He never has. There’s always one guy who will start the fight, and then hold your coat. That’s Donald Trump.”
It took little time for the White House to issue a statement in response to Ventura’s doubts.
Per the Daily Express US, the statement reads: “On that tragic day in Butler, Pennsylvania, we tragically lost an American hero, Corey Comperatore, who selflessly laid down his life to protect those around him. President Trump will never forget Corey and his beautiful family.”
It continued: “On that dark day, God spared President Trump’s life by a miraculous millimeter. President Trump is standing stronger than ever as he continues to ‘fight, fight, fight’ for the American people. Only a fool would believe otherwise.”
