Journalist Kitty Ruskin wanted to let go of guilt and decided to have sex with multiple partners without judgment for a year. However, it ended in a harrowing way, as she has written a book about the awful events that occurred.
A woman has shared how her attempt to embrace a year of casual sexual encounters with different men resulted in emotional distress and shocking experiences.
Journalist Kitty Ruskin writes about her year of sexual exploration in her 2024 book titled Ten Men: A Year of Casual Sex. What began as a quest for empowerment and freedom ended in moments she describes as confusing, harmful, and even violent.
Inspired by the fictional character Samantha Jones from Sex and the City, Ruskin entered 2019 determined to let go of guilt and inhibitions and to have sex with multiple partners without judgment. But her journey took a different turn.
“I decided to have sex with as many people as I wanted to,” Ruskin wrote, as per an excerpt published by the Daily Mail. “No more guilt. No more self-loathing. No more self-limitation. I was liberated and fearless. I was Samantha.”
