
Born William Bruce Jenner in 1949, Caitlyn battled dyslexia as a child but excelled in sports. A football scholarship led her to college, yet a knee injury pushed her toward track and field. After finishing 10th at the 1972 Olympics, she spent four years training relentlessly and returned in 1976 to claim gold.
